About Noel D’Allacco
An entrepreneur from a very young age, Noel began her professional career as an Event Planner back in 2001, when she was just 21 years old. Owner of “Here Comes The Planner”, she ran the business out of her Eastchester office, planning events, managing budgets, training employees, and working with a variety of vendors and suppliers. She learned exactly what it took to create a successful business, while also facing the challenges and hurdles start-up companies are often faced with. Her big break came when she was featured on the ABC Family Reality Show: “The Perfect Match”, and was portrayed as an event coordinator.
In 2005, the self-proclaimed “Promologist”, Noel D’Allacco, founded her second business, Operation PROM, a Not-for-Profit organization. She was inspired by the weddings she planned to collect those once-worn bridesmaid dresses and turn them into a young lady’s dream Prom dress.
Noel started these successful businesses without ever taking a business course in college. She earned her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Behavioral Science from Concordia College, and credits her sales and marketing skills from working for insurance companies from the time she was 17 years old.
In 2006, Noel sold Here Comes The Planner, and decided to grow Operation PROM. Now, a nationally recognized 501 c 3 Not-for-Profit Charitable Organization, Operation PROM continues to help low-income students attend their Proms by providing free Prom dresses and tuxedo rentals. The organization also coordinates hospital Prom’s for terminally ill children, and provides scholarships and school supplies to students in need. Operation PROM has been featured in countless local and national news and media outlets, including: CNN Money, Fox News, The Huffington Post, The New York Times, Westchester Magazine, and The Journal News. Noel has been interviewed by major news networks and programs: CNN, NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams, and Fox’s Good Day New York.
Noel holds a Master’s of Science in Business Leadership (Delta Mu Delta Honor Society Inductee, 2009) from Mercy College. She is a Yonkers native who now lives in Eastchester, NY where she runs Operation PROM. Noel’s even passing her experiences on to the next generation of business leaders, teaching business courses at the College of Westchester in White Plains, NY.
In 2011, Noel was named one of Westchester Magazine’s 914 Inc. Wunderkind “30 Under 30”. Noel was also People Magazine’s All Star Semi-Finalist for Volunteer Service in 2009, and received the Zeta Phi Beta Community Award in 2010.
Currently, Noel holds the title of Philanthropy Chair of Femfessionals Westchester, a group dedicated to connecting professional women, while engaging in community based efforts and educational workshops in Westchester County. She is an active member of the Junior League of Central Westchester and is a mentor for Her Honor Mentoring. Noel also sits on the LGBT Advisory Board for Westchester County.
